EEC Council approves four new technical regulations

MOSCOW, 20 July (BelTA) - The Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) has approved four new technical regulations at a meeting in Moscow presided by Belarus’ Vice Prime Minister Sergei Rumas, BelTA learnt.

The two technical regulations introduced by the Kazakh side deal with the safety of explosives and related products and with the safety of food additives and technological support substances. Belarus introduced the technical regulations on safety of agricultural and forestry tractors and trailers. In addition, the EEC Council adopted Russia-sponsored technical regulations defining the requirements for lubricants, oils and special liquids.

“Today we have adopted today, if I may say so, an international package of technical regulations,” Sergei Rumas said.

The technical regulations will come into force in 2013-2015.
