Priority activities (sectors of the economy) for investments determined

Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus of 26 February 2014 No 197 “On priority activities (sectors of the economy)” officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 12 March 2014 has determined that priority activities (sectors of the economy) include both activities (sectors of the economy) in which investment projects stipulated according to a decision of the President of the Republic of Belarus or within the framework of state, regional or branch-wide programs are implemented and those listed in the Annex to the Resolution.
In accordance with the Law of the Republic of Belarus of 12 July 2013 “On investments”, investors making investments in priority activities (sectors of the economy) can enjoy benefits and preferences provided by the legislation and treaties of the Republic of Belarus.
The Resolution entered into force from 27 February 2014.
