New regulations for duty-free shops approved

Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 22 April 2014 No 175 “On functioning of duty-free shops" has approved new Regulations on duty-free shops. According to the Edict duty-free shops may be operated on board aircraft of Belarusian airlines engaged in international carriage of passengers, at crossing points on the State border of the Republic of Belarus and in the territory of Belarus. The Edict determines requirements for the persons that may be owners of duty-free shops.
The Edict was officially published on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 26 April 2014 and enters into force in three months after its official publication.
