Parallel advertising concerning brands of alcoholic beverages and tobacco products to be further restricted

On 10 July 2015 the President of the Republic of Belarus signed the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On introduction of changes and additions into the Law of the Republic of Belarus ‘On advertising’”, which further restricts use of advertisements containing brands of goods or names of organizations or individuals, marks of packing, being identical or confusingly similar to brands or names of alcoholic beverages or tobacco products, to marks or packing or images used for alcoholic beverages or tobacco products. 

The Law was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 14 July 2015, and its main provisions enter into force in three months after its official publication.
