President modified the procedure for customs clearance of goods being moved through the customs border of the Republic of Belarus
The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 22 December 2018 No 490 “On customs regulation” determined specific features of the customs regulation concerning the customs clearance of goods being moved through the customs border of the Republic of Belarus, the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus informs.
In particular, the Edict defined the powers of the State Customs Committee in the sphere of customs regulation, determined other issues of the interaction of declarants and customs bodies in the process of customs clearance of goods, and provided a new wording of the Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 21 July 2014 No 360 “On moving goods for personal consumption through the customs border of the Eurasian Economic Union” that entered into force from 1 January 2019.
The Edict No 490 was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 28 December 2018, and its main provisions enter into force in ten days from its official publication.
