Plans to develop 33 bills in Belarus in 2019

MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has signed a decree to approve this year's legislation development plan, the press service of the head of state told BelTA.

The main criteria to shape the plan included the society's real need to address the relevant relations, the importance of regulating them legally taking into account the effective legislation.

As many as 33 draft laws are supposed to be worked out this year. The documents will include brand new legislation (for instance, bills on rights of people with disabilities and their social integration, on protecting and using swamps, on the state registration and liquidation of commercial entities) and bills designed to update the effective legislation in order to implement institutional changes with a view to improving business operation terms in Belarus and emancipating business initiative. In particular, there are plans to amend the laws on currency regulation and foreign exchange control, on bookkeeping and accounting, and on tourism.

Apart from that, the concept of a bill on insurance business will be worked out in 2019.
