Additional measures to combat corruption established in Belarus

According to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 10 May 2019 No. 3 “On Additional Measures to Combat Corruption”, persons convicted of corruption offences can’t be eligible for release on parole and commutation to a more lenient sentence, the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus informs.

Also it is established that corruption offences include crimes referred to in Article 210, Parts 2 and 3 of Article 235, Articles 424, 425, Parts 2 and 3 of Article 426, Articles 429-432, as well as Article 455 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus.

The Decree was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 11 May 2019, and enters into force after its official publication.
