President set forth basic requirements for registration, taxation and use of foreign gratuitous aid

The Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 25 May 2020 No 3 “On foreign gratuitous aid” set forth basic requirements for registration, taxation and use of foreign gratuitous aid, the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus informs.

According to the Decree foreign gratuitous aid may be used, in particular, for:
provision of medical care, as well as for purchase of medicines and medical devices, supplies for their maintenance, payment for medical services;
provision of social assistance and social services to low-income citizens, people with disabilities, pensioners, children, large, single-parent, guardianship and foster families, persons without a fixed place of residence, as well as persons (families) who find themselves in difficult life situation;
prevention and liquidation of natural and man-made emergencies, ensuring fire, industrial, nuclear and radiation safety, liquidation of the consequences of the Chernobyl disaster;
construction, repair (reconstruction) of social facilities;
creation and development of libraries, formation and processing of library collections;
creation and development of museums, the acquisition of museum funds.

The Decree was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 26 May 2020, and its main dispositions enter into force in three months after its official publication.
