Belarus acceded to 2004 International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments
The Edict of the President of the Republic of Belarus of 26 February 2020 No 78 “On accession of the Republic of Belarus to the international treaty” provided that the Republic of Belarus to accede 2004 International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships' Ballast Water and Sediments, the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus informs.
According to the Edict, the Ministry of Transport and Communications is determined as the body responsible for fulfilling the commitments undertaken by the Republic of Belarus under the Convention.
The Edict was officially published in Russian on the National Legal Internet Portal of the Republic of Belarus on 28 February 2020, and has entered into force from the day of its signing.
