Belarus presents new proposals on oil supplies to Russia

MOSCOW (BelTA) – Belarus presented new proposals on oil supplies to Russia. Prime Minister of Belarus Sergei Rumas made the statement as he commented on results of his negotiations with Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin, BelTA has learned. The negotiations took place in Moscow on 11 March.

Sergei Rumas said: “Indeed, the situation has changed recently, oil prices have plummeted. This is why the Belarusian side presented new proposals for oil companies, which the Russian side accepted and promised to consult with the oil companies within the next few days and give an answer. At first glance these proposals were not rejected by the Russian side. I think we will be able to secure progress in resolving the oil dispute.”

At the same time Sergei Rumas declined to specify the essence of the new proposals. “I wouldn't like to clarify these proposals now. Let's wait and see how our colleagues respond,” he noted.
