Lukashenko to visit Azerbaijan 13 April

MINSK (BelTA) – Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko will pay a visit to Azerbaijan on 13 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.

The two-day visit has an intensive agenda. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko and Azerbaijan President Ilham Aliyev are scheduled to have two meetings. One of them will take place right after Aleksandr Lukashenko's arrival in Baru. In the informal setting the heads of state will discuss major avenues of Belarus-Azerbaijan cooperation and strategic issues of bilateral interaction.

Official negotiations are scheduled for Wednesday. The presidents will meet in the narrow and extended formats with the participation of the delegations. Special attention will be drawn to the expansion of the trade and economic interaction and the intensification of cooperation. The sides will discuss industrial cooperation, current and promising projects in the manufacturing sector and food supplies, processing of agricultural products. The sides will also focus on cooperation in healthcare, science and technology, education and tourism.

The heads of state will discuss topical issues on the international agenda.

After the talks the sides are expected to sign bilateral documents.
