National Day at EXPO 2020 hailed as great opportunity to showcase Belarusian enterprises
MINSK (BelTA) – The National Day of Belarus at EXPO 2020 is a great opportunity to showcase investment conditions in Belaurs, the opportunities and potential of Belarusian enterprises, Belarusian Economy Minister Aleksandr Chervyakov said during the opening ceremony of the National Day of Belarus at EXPO 2020 in Dubai, BelTA has learned.
“Today we have opened the National Day of Belarus at EXPO 2020 in Dubai, a grand exhibition that has the attention of the whole world. Each of our enterprises has its own export strategy. We explore the markets of the Persian Gulf, North Africa, the Middle East. EXPO 2020 is a great opportunity to showcase the capabilities of our country, our enterprises. We also organized an investment forum at EXPO 2020 to tell more about investment conditions in Belarus. We want them to come to our country, set up manufacturing facilities and invest. Interest in the Belarusian Investment Forum is enormous. We expect new proposals after the forum," Aleksandr Chervyakov said.
Cooperation between Belarus and the UAE has been developing rapidly: the trade has tripled over the past five years, investments have risen more than 10 times since 2011. "We have potential, we are interesting for investors. I hope that after the exhibition and the forum we will have new promising projects. The prospects in relations with the UAE are great," the minister said.
Tourism, agriculture, and high technologies are among the promising areas of cooperation with the UAE, the minister noted.
