Great Stone park seen as great source of business opportunity on Belt and Road platform

MINSK ( BelTA) – The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone is not just a large-scale joint project, but a great source of business opportunity on the Belt and Road platform, Belarus' Deputy Economy Minister Alesya Abramenko said in an interview with BelTA.

“It is important that the industrial park is scaling up its operations. In 2022, the output increased 1.5 times over 2021, proceeds from the sale of goods 1.9 times, exports 1.3 times, taxes, duties and payments paid by resident companies 2.2 times. Investments in fixed assets exceeded Br120 million,” said Alesya Abramenko.

All in all, about $320 million was spent on the infrastructure of the park. More than 70 buildings and structures have already been built on its premises. Another 14 facilities are in the pipeline, and design and survey work is underway for 20 more.

In 2022, Belarusian resident companies launched the production of glasses for all types of land transport, innovative photographic printed products, automated process control systems for the manufacturing industry and the energy sector. The science and technology park InKata was put into operation. This park brings together companies engaged in scientific research and experimental development.
