Belarus, Russia sign cooperation agreement in science, technology, innovations

MOSCOW, ( BelTA) – Belarus and Russia signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in science, technology and innovations at the meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Belarus-Russia Union State in Moscow on 27 March. The meeting was attended by Belarus' Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and his Russian counterpart Mikhail Mishustin, BelTA learned from the Standing Committee of the Union State.

The Union State Council of Ministers adopted resolutions to map out steps to implement the provisions of the Union State Treaty in the period of 2021-2023 and the Union State programs, as well as documents on border security of the Union State and some other documents.
Resolutions of the Union State Council of Ministers “On drafting a strategy to promote sci-tech advancement of the Union State”, “On the Union State programs in space (on the creation of a satellite (satellite group) and on joint research in Earth remote sensing)”, “On Belarus-Russia cooperation in microelectronics, design and production of electronic components and in electronic engineering”, “On the interstate center for coordinating work on risk management, performing analytical functions and monitoring customs operations of the Union State Customs Committee”.
