PM: Digitalization will be in focus of Belarus’ chairmanship in EAEU in 2025

YEREVAN ( BelTA) – Belarus will be actively advancing digitalization during its chairmanship of the EAEU in 2025, Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko said at the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum "Digitalization in modern realities – an imperative to ensure four freedoms" with the participation of the heads of government in Yerevan, BelTA has learned.

"In 2025, we will take stock of the strategy for the development of Eurasian economic integration until 2025. Based on the analysis, we will set clear guidelines for integration work to fulfill the tasks spelled out in the declaration on the further development of economic processes in the EAEU until 2030 and for the period until 2045. This work will be carried out during the chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the Eurasian Economic Union in 2025. I would like to assure everyone that we intend to actively deal with the issues of digitalization and the development of high technologies. We see this as one of the most important areas for the union," Roman Golovchenko said.

The five member states are actively working to form a common market to ensure four freedoms: freedom of movement of goods, services, capital and labor throughout the union.

The 3rd Eurasian Economic Forum is taking place in Yerevan, Armenia on 30 September–1 October. The forum is held as part of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting featuring the heads of government of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and observer states.
