Belarus passes CSTO chairmanship to Kazakhstan

MOSCOW, 20 December (BelTA) - Belarus is completing its chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and passes it to Kazakhstan, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said during a meeting of the Collective Security Council (CSC) of the Collective Security Treaty Organization in Moscow, BelTA has learnt.

Alexander Lukashenko thanked all present for their support of Belarusian initiatives and active engagement in the work to achieve common objectives.

The President of Belarus noted that much has been done since the last CSC meeting. “I think the targets have been largely achieved,” said the Belarusian head of state.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed his confidence that today the member states of the organization will identify areas for further movement forward.
