Belarus hopes for more joint projects with China

MINSK, 12 December (BelTA) – Belarus hopes to expand joint projects with China, Belarus Premier Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of China to Belarus Lu Guicheng on 9 December.

The Belarusian head of government praised successful implementation of joint investment and humanitarian projects. “These are billions of dollars of investments and credit resources which are put in the Belarusian economy,” he said. Bilateral cooperation has been gaining momentum in every area including energy, road service and high-technology projects. Mikhail Myasnikovich paid special attention to the joint project of the Belarusian holding company Horizont and Chinese Midea.

According to the PM, Belarus is getting ready to set up a satellite in collaboration with China. A number of joint sci-tech and educational projects are slated for implementation.
