Lukashenko congratulates Belarusian-Russian University on 50th anniversary
MINSK, 25 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated the staff of the Belarusian-Russian University on the 50th anniversary, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.
This unique interstate university specializing in engineering disciplines is a testimony to the successful formation of the single education space of Belarus and Russia, the head of state said.
“Having turned into a major educational and research center, your university is moving forward and making a great contribution to the innovative development of the real sector of the economy. Over 30,000 of its graduates now work at industrial companies, government agencies and research centers of Belarus and Russia,” the message reads.
The university carries out fundamental and applied research, develops and introduces modern technologies, trains excellent specialists and good citizens.
Alexander Lukashenko expressed confidence that the staff of the university will enhance the reputation of the university with educational and scientific achievements.
