Venezuela keen to expand cooperation with Belarus

MINSK, 23 November (BelTA) – Venezuela is ready to expand cooperation with Belarus, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Venezuela to Belarus Americo Diaz Nunez said at the forum Venezuela-Belarus: Achievements and Prospects of Bilateral Relations on 23 November, BelTA has learned.

“In our case friendship and mutual understanding between Presidents Alexander Lukashenko and Hugo Chavez made it possible to reach a true miracle – soaring progress in bilateral relation over less then five years,” Americo Diaz Nunez emphasized. He expressed confidence that the key factor of strategic partnership growth is the complementarity of the two economies.

Today Venezuela’s main goals are to build houses, launch the production of new goods and services, create more jobs. Thus, Venezuela is interested in the cooperation with other countries, including Belarus. “Venezuela is eager to create strategic alliances with friendly nations and establish cooperation based on equal exchange of experience and technologies,” the Ambassador said.

The forum in Minsk will help enhance cooperation between Belarus and Venezuela. Partaking in the event will be representatives of ministries, concerns and enterprises. It is essential to analyze achievements, difficulties and barriers and define what areas are the most important,” Americo Diaz Nunez concluded.
