Children’s health is Belarus’ top priority, Lukashenko says

MINSK, 16 November (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has sent a message of greetings to the participants of the 9th Congress of Pediatricians of Belarus, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

The head of state noted that children’s health is a top priority of the country’s social policy. Every child in Belarus is guaranteed free and high quality medical care.

“Today out pediatric service is by right billed the best in the CIS and aims to reach the level of the most advanced countries soon. Due to the continued support from the state, Belarusian medical establishments have been fitted with the latest equipment and are provided with all necessary medicines on a regular basis. High-technology methods of treatment are widely applied across the country,” the message of greetings says.

Alexander Lukashenko expressed hope that constructive debates at the Congress would add additional impetus to the development of the national pediatrics.

The President expressed his deep appreciation for the labor, dedication and goodness of the nation's physicians.
