Belarus PM: Belarus’ overall export should reach 70% next year

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – The share of export in Belarus’ overall production should reach 70% in 2012, Belarus Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich said in his opening address at the plenary session of the Belarusian Innovation Week on 15 November.

According to the Premier, Belarusian companies have increased profit margin both in industry and agriculture this year. “It is good news that the export of our industry has already exceeded 60% this year. That means that more than 60% of the goods produced in the country are sold overseas,” Mikhail Myasnikovich said.

The government sets forth a goal to reach 70% in exports next year. Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed that in order to achieve this innovative products should be more competitive.

In this respect the Premier added that Belarus’ innovation development program for 2011-2015 is open to foreign investment and international cooperation.
