Belarusian ruble weaker against US dollar, euro, Russian ruble

MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – After a regular trading session at the Belarusian Currency and Stock Exchange the exchange rate of the Belarusian ruble dropped against the US dollar, euro, and the Russian ruble on 2 November, BelTA has learned.

The Belarusian ruble lost Br50 against the US dollar, with one US dollar now buying Br8,580. The volume of trade stood at $50.053 million, $38.807 million up from 1 November. The volume of applications for selling and buying US dollars went up $46.542 million and $50.962 million respectively. The supply stood at $33.729 million on 1 November, with the demand at $44.933 million.

The exchange rate of euro increased by Br20 to Br11,800 on 2 November. In comparison with 1 November the supply of euro plummeted from €43.374 million to €21.648 million. On 2 November the demand for euro stood at €22.968 million, the volume of trade shrank to €22.908 million (€37.273 million on 1 November).

On 2 November the exchange rate of the Russian ruble edged up by Br2 to Br280. The volume of trade exceeded RUB1.055 billion, with the supply close to RUB1.240 billion and demand over RUB1.057 billion.
