Belarus to take part in international expo in Havana

MINSK, 18 October (BelTA) - Belarusian enterprises will present products at the 29th international fair due to take place in Havana from 31 October to 5 November, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Belarus Alfredo Nieves Portuondo told reporters.

“I have the pleasure to emphasize that the fair will feature the products made in Belarus,” said the diplomat. Taking part in the event will be MAZ, MTZ and other major enterprises. Companies and representatives of more than 100 states, including Canada, United Kingdom, Spain, Russia and others, have applied for the exhibition.

Belarus and Cuba established diplomatic relations more than 19 years ago. In February 2011 Belarus welcomed Foreign Minister of Cuba Bruno Rodriguez Parrilla who met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko and Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov. President of the State Council and Council of Ministers of Cuba Raul Castro has voiced his intention to pay a visit to Belarus in the near future.
