Lukashenko congratulates Tajikistan on Independence Day

MINSK, 9 September (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko has congratulated President of Tajikistan Emomali Rakhmon and his people on the 20th anniversary of the country’s independence, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

Alexander Lukashenko noted that over the last 20 years Tajikistan has been able to make great headway in social and economic development, improve people’s wellbeing and gain recognition on the international arena.

“I am confident that the present fruitful cooperation between the two countries will be further strengthening for the benefit of the two nations,” the President of Belarus said.
