Belarus-Andorra communique on diplomatic relations signed

MINSK, 28 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Andorra have signed the Joint Communique on the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations. The document was signed at the meeting of Belarus’ Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov and Foreign Minister of Andorra Gilbert Saboya which took place as part of the UN General Assembly session in New York on 27 September, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

According to the document, the parties are “eager to develop and enhance friendly relations, political, economic and cultural cooperation on the basis of equality, mutual respect of the sovereignty and independence and non-involvement in the internal affairs of the two countries.”

The copy of the joint communique was submitted to the UN Secretary-General in order to inform UN member states on the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Andorra.
