Belarus-Oman visa-free regime for holders of diplomatic passports

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarus and Oman signed an intergovernmental agreement on visa-free trips for holders of diplomatic, service and special passports. The document was signed at the Belarusian-Omani ministerial consultations, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry.

The fourth round of the ministerial consultations was held at the level of deputy foreign ministers on 16 April. The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Aleinik. The Omani delegation was led by Foreign Ministry's Under-Secretary for Diplomatic Affairs Ahmed bin Yusuf al Harthy.

Sergei Aleinik also met with Secretary General of the Omani Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al-Busaidi, Director Executive of Oman’s State General Reserve Fund Warith Al-Kharusi, Secretary General of the State Council Khalid Bin Salim Al Saidi.

The sides discussed the issues of current importance regarding the implementation of investment projects, inter-parliamentary cooperation, cultural contacts, collaboration in international organizations, development of the legal framework and others.
