Lukashenko sends Easter greetings to Catholics of Belarus

MINSK, 9 April (BelTA) – Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko congratulated Christians of Belarus who celebrated Easter on 8 April 2012, BelTA learnt from the presidential press service.

“This holiday comes in a wonderful period of spring rejuvenation. Just as the land awakes under the sun, millions of believers feel spiritual revival and aspiration to do good in joyous Easter days,” the message of congratulations runs.

“At all times the Radiant Resurrection of Christ was the pillar of faith, a symbol of hope, a source of all-triumphant love. In our turbulent days people derive strength from this holiday and do their best not to betray the calling of a person or a Christian – to make the world a better place step by step,” Alexander Lukashenko noted.

The President wished: “May the Easter mood fill your homes, bring joy and inner peace. May feelings evoked by the holiday inspire you to serve the Fatherland, work hard, and commit gracious deeds. May stability and accord live in our country forever. I wish you strong health, inexhaustible energy, every success, happiness, and wellbeing.”
