Belarus urged to learn to protect its interests

MINSK, 3 April (BelTA) – Belarus should learn to aggressively protect its interests in a good way, using all legal and public mechanisms. The statement was voiced by Aleksei Binetsky, a well-known international lawyer, Doctor of Politics, as he met with reporters at BelTA’s press center.

In his words, there are no grounds for serious problems in Belarus-Russia relations. Contrariwise, the circumstances push these countries closer to each other. “Relations between Belarus and Russia are developing in the right direction regardless of who the president of the Russian Federation is,” the expert believes.

Speaking about how the situation will evolve, Aleksei Binetsky said it is possible that disputes may arise like the Moscow-Minsk air service dispute. “But I don’t see reasons why antagonistic contradictions between Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan will emerge,” he concluded.
