Belarusian Union of Officers condemns sanctions against Belarus

MINSK, 6 April (BelTA) – The Belarusian Union of Officers (BUO) has issued an official statement condemning the sanctions against Belarus, BelTA has learnt.

“The Republic of Belarus is a sovereign, peaceful and democratic state. Its domestic and foreign policy is based on the will of people,” the statement reads. It also says that the Belarusian Union of Officers strongly condemns any pressure on Belarus, the use of far-fetched political, economic and other sanctions against companies, organizations and individuals.

The Belarusian Union of Officers urges public organizations of the country to join efforts to support the policy pursued by the President and the Government.

The Belarusian Union of Offices has over 25,000 members, including war veterans, generals, reserve officers and retired officers.
