Lukashenko unveils new technological line at Krasnoselskstroimaterialy

VOLKOVYSK DISTRICT, 30 April (BelTA) – President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko performed a symbolic launch of a new manufacturing line at the Belarusian company OAO Krasnoselskstroimaterialy on 30 April. The line is designed to manufacture clinker bricks, BelTA has learned.

The new line has been built thanks to a Belarusian-Chinese investment project. The technology provides for manufacturing the bricks using a dry method and a coal preparation chamber, with the existing clinker production facility switched from natural gas to coal.

The new technology will address energy-saving problems and will allow switching from natural gas to coal. In the future the possibility of using local fuels will be considered.

OAO Krasnoselskstroimaterialy manufactures cement, lime, foam concrete building blocks, dry mixtures, chalk, roofing slates, asbestos cement sheets and pipes. The company employs 2,400 people. The average salary in Q1 2012 exceeded Br3.6 million. In 2011 the company turned out Br1,160.6 billion worth of products. Cement output went up 2.6% on the year to 1,929,000 tonnes. The export of industrial goods grew by 16.7% on 2010 to $13.2 million. In 2011 net profit totaled Br63.7 billion while in 2010 the figure stood at Br8.5 billion (650% up). Profitability of sales edged up 4.8 percentage points to over 7%.
