Belarus, Russia, Kazakhstan to coordinate agro-industrial policy

MINSK, 28 April (BelTA) – The Department for Agro-Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission is set to draft an agreement on coordinated agro-industrial policy, Director of the Department for Agro-Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission Nadezhda Kotkovets told media on 28 April.

“Our main task today is to implement the agreement on common rules and principles of subsidy assistance in agriculture. This document has already been adopted and ratified,” Nadezhda Kotkovets noted.

Besides, the department will work on the coordinated agro-industrial policy, she added. “Everything should be taken to a legislative level. Here we will do our best to take into account every detail. As an export-oriented country Belarus should understand that everything it produces should find its customer. The same is true about Russia and Kazakhstan. There are national priorities that we need to take into consideration and put them into one agreement,” Nadezhda Kotkovets said.
