Minsk, Tiraspol to boost mutual supplies

CHISINAU, 28 April (BelTA) – Minsk is ready to increase the purchase of agricultural produce in the Transdniestrian region. The statement was made in a meeting of Minsk Vice Mayor Vladimir Koltovich and Deputy Chairman of the Economic Committee Denis Yeremenko with representatives of the Tiraspol Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources of Transdniestria.

Minsk officials got familiar with Transdniestria economic potential in the agrarian sector, visited a number of local canning factories and farm firms. They were demonstrated new technical equipment which helps produce high-quality goods, rich in vitamins and at an acceptable price.

Vladimir Koltovich showed interest both in the supplies of Belarusian products to Tiraspol and the purchase of goods made in Transdniestria. He emphasized the readiness to intensify cooperation and increase mutual supplies.

The sides also studied the prospects for Minsk-Tiraspol cooperation in supplying Belarusian equipment to Transdniestria plants.
