Belarus-Israel committee for trade to sit in Minsk

MINSK, 30 August (BelTA) – The third session of the Belarus-Israel joint committee for trade and economic cooperation will be held in Minsk on 4 September, BelTA learnt from the Israeli Embassy in Belarus.

The committee will discuss new investment projects and cooperation prospects in agriculture. A business forum is to be held, too.

Taking part in the session will be an Israeli delegation led by Tourism Minister, co-chair of the Belarus-Israel joint committee for trade and economic cooperation Stas Misezhnikov.

During their stay in Belarus on 3-6 September the Israeli delegation will meet with Belarus’ government officials and representatives of the Sport and Tourism Ministry. The delegation will also visit Grodno Oblast and Brest Oblast to meet the governors of these regions. The Israeli delegation will also tour the national Olympic horseracing and horse breeding center in Ratomka as well as a poultry production unit built using Israeli technology at First Minsk Poultry Factory.

An Israeli business delegation will arrive in Belarus simultaneously with the official delegation. The business delegation will feature representatives of the leading Israeli companies specializing in agriculture, high technologies, tourism, infrastructure and trade. Israeli businessmen will take part in the business forum that will be held at the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry on 4 September. Representatives of the Israeli business delegation will meet with their Belarusian counterparts to discuss cooperation prospects.
