Belarus’ diplomats to visit Hungary on 28-30 August

MINSK, 28 August (BelTA) – A delegation of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus led by Deputy Foreign Minister, co-chair of the Belarus-Hungary intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation Yelena Kupchina will visit Hungary on 28-30 August, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

The delegation is set to meet with State Secretary of the Ministry for National Economy of Hungary, co-chair of the Belarus-Hungary intergovernmental commission Roza Nagy and chiefs of major economic institutions of Hungary, including the Hungarian Investment and Trade Agency, Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Eximbank and MEHIB agency.

The parties will discuss economic relations and investments, including preparation for a regular session of the Belarus-Hungary intergovernmental commission for economic cooperation scheduled for autumn 2012.

In 2011 Belarus-Hungary trade amounted to $221.7 million, up by 1.2% compared to 2010. Belarus’ export made up $79.7 million (up by 16.6%), import $142 million, down by 5.8%. In January-June 2012, the bilateral trade was estimated at $109.3 million (108.1% as against the same period in 2011), export stood at $43.9 million (127.7%), import at $65.4 million (98%).
