EEC Council discusses coordinated policy in key sectors of economy

MINSK, 24 August (BelTA) – The 9th meeting of the Council of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC Council) is taking place in Moscow under the chairmanship of Sergei Rumas, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry.

Attending the meeting is also First Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Igor Petrishenko. The participants of the meeting will hear out reports of the members of the EEC Board to approve the action plan on mutual recognition of the electronic digital signature, measures to secure obligations of the agreement on public (municipal) procurement and the agreement on the single principles and rules of competition.

The participants will also consider Belarus-initiated issues to strengthen sci-tech and industrial cooperation, coordinate national industrial policies, develop the coordinated industrial policy in the key economic sectors; to promote free movement of goods in the single customs territory and goods made in CU/SES.
