Republican Party of Labor and Justice eyes 20 seats in parliament

MINSK, 6 August (BelTA) – At the 9th extraordinary congress the Republican Party of Labor and Justice nominated its 20 members for the parliamentary elections to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus, BelTA has learnt.

According to chairman of the party Vasily Zadnepryanyi, 43 members of his party made part of the district election commissions.

A total of 1,200 will make part of the precinct election commissions. Besides, over 2,000 observers from the Republican Party of Labor and Justice will work during the elections.

“The Republican Party of Labor and Justice is against street democracy, orange and other revolutions. We advocate constructive cooperation with an aim of reforming and improving our economic and political system,” Vasily Zadnepryanyi said.

The left-of-center Republican Party of Labor and Justice was set up on 26 June 1993.
