Lukashenko urges to reduce construction cost of Belarusian nuclear station

OSTROVETS DISTRICT, 9 August (BelTA) – The construction cost of the Belarusian nuclear power plant should be reduced as much as possible, said President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko during a working trip to Ostrovets District, Grodno Oblast on 9 August.

The Belarusian leader said: “The power plant should be a quality one. It must be understood by default. It should be the cheapest one out of all those the Russians and other nations have built all over the world”.

The President remarked the cost of a Russian power plant is lowest apart from the cost of Chinese ones. But the cost of the Belarusian nuclear power plant should be much lower than that of the nuclear stations built by the Russians in Russia and other countries, said Alexander Lukashenko.
