Belarus’ Ambassador, Cuba Vice Premier discuss economic ties

MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Cuba Vladimir Astapenko and Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Cuba, Chairman of the Economic Policy Commission, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba Marino Alberto Murillo Jorge held a meeting on 28 December. The parties discussed the state of efforts to implement the agreements reached during the official visit of President of the Republic of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko to Cuba in June 2012 and the working visit of the Cuban government delegation to Belarus in October 2012, BelTA has learnt from the press service of the Belarusian Foreign Ministry. They also discussed ways to step up trade and economic relations and collaboration in science. Attending the meeting were First Deputy Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment of Cuba Orlando Hernandez Guillen and Head for European and Canadian Affairs at the Cuban Chancery Elio Rodriguez Perdomo.
