Belaruskali is Belarus’ largest profit-making company in January-September

MINSK, 29 December (BelTA) - In January-September 2012 Belaruskali was the most profitable open joint stock company of Belarus, reads the report by the Finance Ministry on the performance of companies in January-September, with the exception of banks, BelTA has learnt. In January-September 2012, OAO Belaruskali reported net profit of Br6.1 trillion, up 39.3% from the first half this year. OAO Naftan is second in the Top 10 most profitable open joint stock companies in January-September 2012. Net profit for January-September 2012 totaled Br2.7 trillion.

The third largest profit-making company, according to the report of the Finance Ministry, is OAO Development Bank of the Republic of Belarus. In Q3 the company reported a 43.7% increase in the profits that reached Br2.5 trillion. From January to September 2012 OAO Mozyr Oil Refinery earned Br1.8 trillion in net profits, up by 30.8% as against January-June and takes fourth place among the most profitable companies of Belarus. OAO MAZ goes fifth with net profits at Br1 trillion in January-September 2012. This is 50% more than in the first half of this year.

The most profitable public companies of Belarus in January-September also include OAO Belarusian Autoworks (Br886.7 billion), OAO Belshina (Br715.7 billion), OAO Gomeltransneft Druzhba oil pipeline operator (Br681.5 billion), OAO Grodnopromstroi (Br437 billion), OAO Grodno Azot (Br372.9 billion). The Finance Ministry publishes reports on financial performance of open joint stock companies on a quarterly basis.
