Belarus wants fast implementation of joint projects with Bangladesh

MINSK, 17 December (BelTA) – Belarus hopes that the joint projects with the People's Republic of Bangladesh will be materialized as soon as possible, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich said as he met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Bangladesh to Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and the Baltic States on concurrent Saiful Hoque on 17 December, BelTA has learnt.

The government of Belarus started working on the agreements reached during the official visit of the governmental delegation of Belarus to Bangladesh in November 2012, Mikhail Myasnikovich said. “We would like Bangladeshi companies, including RMM Group, Incepta Pharmaceuticals, Square, to start working on the agreements,” the Premier said.

During the visit of the governmental delegation of Belarus to Bangladesh the parties signed 18 international agreements: 6 intergovernmental and 12 interagency agreements. An agreement was reached to set up two joint ventures in Bangladesh – to process potatoes and make dairy products - and one pharmaceutical company in Belarus using Bangladeshi investments.

During the talks on 17 December, the parties discussed prospects and terms of implementing the abovementioned agreements, including supplies of MAZ machines to Bangladesh.
