Minsk Hi-Tech Park to cooperate with Czech Association of Science and Technology Parks

MINSK, 14 December (BelTA) – Minsk Hi-Tech Park and the Association of Science and Technology Parks of the Czech Republic will sign agreement on cooperation, BelTA learnt from the State Science and Technology Committee.

The agreement was drafted and discussed at a meeting of the Council of the Belarus-Czech Innovation Center which took place as part of the Innovations 2012 international symposium and an exhibition of investments and innovations in Prague on 3-8 December. Partaking in the event on Belarus’ behalf were representatives of the Belarusian Innovation Fund, Belarusian State University, Belarusian State University of Informatics and Radioelectronics, Belarusian National Technical University, Francisk Skorina Gomel State University and the technological cluster Politekhnik.

Participants of the meeting came to an agreement to intensify the work on expanding the circle of stakeholders, inform Belarusian and Czech scientists, engineers, businessmen on the potential of the Belarusian-Czech Innovation Center. The Belarusian Innovation Fund and the Association of Innovative Entrepreneurship of the Czech Republic agreed to work out a joint project based on one of the European innovation system programs and coordinate the exchange of specialists in science, technology, research and innovations.

Reports of the Russian and Belarusian delegations presented at the Russian-Belarusian-Czech seminar aroused much interest among the participants. At the exhibition of innovative products Belarus displayed its innovative products, samples of food additives for different categories of people. The Belarusian stand also featured information and promotional materials.

The countries develop sci-tech cooperation as part of the cooperation program signed between the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports of the Czech Republic and the State Science and Technology Committee of Belarus in November 2011.
