MTZ technical center inaugurated in Pleven, Bulgaria

MINSK, 10 December (BelTA) - The Minsk Tractor Works (MTZ trademark) opened a technical center in the Bulgarian city of Pleven, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus. Thanks to the technical center, MTZ will be able to offer a broad range of tractors, mounted and trailed equipment, spare parts and improve the level of service.

The opening ceremony of the center was attended by representatives of the local administration and business community of Pleven. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Bulgaria Vyacheslav Kachanov introduced Bulgarian businessmen to the plans on expanding bilateral economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

Since September 2007, MTZ tractors have been supplied to Bulgaria through MTZ’s affiliate - Belarus Agro-Trade EOOD. The company does not only export equipment but also provides full service of supplied equipment. In 2011, Bulgaria was supplied with 167 vehicles to the tune of $4.8 million (up 13%). In January-October of 2012, the export made up 84 units worth $2.3 million. Another 10-15 units will be delivered by the end of 2012.
