CSTO condemns EU and US sanctions against Belarus
MOSCOW, 21 February (BelTA) – The CSTO decries the sanctions of the European Union and the United States against Belarus, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha told a press conference on 21 February, BelTA has learnt.
“I am deeply convinced that sanctions are no solution. It is impossible to force a sovereign state to pursue a certain policy,” he said.
Nikolai Bordyuzha noted that the West should seek a dialogue with the government of Belarus. “Sanctions or any other means of pressure are not efficient,” he emphasized.
