Belarus praised as CSTO active member
MOSCOW, 21 February (BelTA) – Belarus is a traditionally active member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha told a press conference on 21 February as he commented on Belarus’ presidency in the organization in 2011.
According to Nikolai Bordyuzha, last year Belarus put forward a great number of “very creative proposals” aimed at improving the CSTO activity.
In his words, during its presidency Belarus put a special emphasis on the implementation of CSTO collective protection and crisis response mechanisms.
