Lukashenko pledges best terms for Japanese car producers in Belarus

MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) - Belarus is ready to provide the most preferential terms for the production of Japanese cars, head of state Alexander Lukashenko said when receiving the credentials from Ambassador of Japan Chikahito Harada.

“So far our cooperation was focused mainly on the humanitarian sphere. We are interested in its further deepening,” said the President.

Construction of the plant to produce Japanese cars is one of the interesting projects that could be implemented, Alexander Lukashenko said. “We will provide the most preferential terms. You can produce your cars here and sell them in the single customs space, in Europe. We will do our best while working with you. In fact, there are a lot of projects we can implement. The conditions we will create for you here will be even better than the ones that exist in Japan for its producers,” Alexander Lukashenko said.

“We are ready for more serious cooperation with Japan. You are welcome here. But somehow you do not see and do not hear that you are welcome here, with your technology, your experience,” the Belarusian leader said.

According to him, it is time Belarus and Japan started realizing the potential of cooperation in economic, scientific and technical areas.
