Belarus, Siberian Accord discuss joint projects in linen industry

MOSCOW, 8 February (BelTA) – Belarus-Russia cooperation in the production and processing of flax was discussed at a Moscow meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Andrei Kobyakov and a delegation of the Interregional Association of the Economic Cooperation of the Constituent Entities of the Russian Federation “Siberian Accord” (IASA) led by Vladimir Ivankov, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed production of innovative products from flax and purchase of Belarusian high-tech flax harvesting machines or their assembly production in Russia’s Siberia.

The parties considered the initiative of the Russian holding company LenOM to implement an investment project to construct a plant producing medical textiles from linen in Belarus.
