Belarus plans to lift visa requirements with Brazil, Argentina
MINSK, 6 February (BelTA) – Belarus is working to abolish visa requirements with Argentina and Brazil, the chief of the consular office of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus Alexander Ostrovsky said in an interview to the STV TV channel.
“We are actually ready to sign the agreement with Turkey on short-term (maximum 30 days) visa-free trips of citizens. Everything is ready. We have the authority to conduct negotiations and sign the agreement,” he said.
Now work is underway on the agreements on visa-free trips to Argentina and Brazil. “Of course, the countries are not close geographically, but are quite popular as tourist destinations,” Alexander Ostrovsky noted.
Alexander Ostrovsky also informed that, according to the information of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus, only a small number of Belarusian citizens were affected by the bankruptcy of Russian tour operator “Lanta Tour Voyage”. He recalled that the necessary legal support to Belarusian holidaymakers in Thailand can be provided by the Embassy of Belarus in Vietnam, which is accredited to other countries in South-East Asia.
