Customs Union prepares agreement on free movement of goods
MINSK, 23 January (BelTA) – The Customs Union member states – Russia, Belarus, and Kazakhstan – have prepared an agreement on free movement of goods, Deputy Foreign Minister of Belarus Alexander Guryanov said at the on-site seminar on 20 January to discuss import and export issues, BelTA has learnt.
The official noted that there are situations when Russian ministries and agencies limit the application of Belarusian products, for instance, in assembling Russian articles. “In lengthy consultations we have been able to convince our partners that all the products in the Customs Union might be used in assembling,” Alexander Guryanov said.
He also added that the agreement on free movement of goods in the Customs Union would include a table of mutual pretensions of the three member states which are to be addressed as soon as the document is signed.
