In the first quarter of 2012, we are planning to sign three top-priority contracts for the NPP construction. The first contract is to be signed in February. We have identified the priorities and included them into three contracts. The first one should be signed soon. With regard to the general contract for the NPP construction, it is expected to be signed in June this year, Anatoly Bondar said.

He explained that the signing of the first top-priority contracts will create the necessary framework for future work on the foundation put of the nuclear power plant which is to be launched in June 2012.

The contractual agreement on the NPP construction was signed between the Russian’s Atomstroyexport and the Belarusian Nuclear Power Plant Construction Directorate in October 2011. The contract is a preliminary agreement on the NPP construction, which provisions will be detailed in the general contract. The contractual agreement contains the basic obligations of the parties regarding the construction of the plant, the cost and payment terms.
