Belarus’ investment potential showcased in London

MINSK, 26 January (BelTA) – The world’s leading publication fDi Magazine issued a special edition dedicated to Belarus’ investment opportunities, BelTA learnt from the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus.

According to the ministry, the presentation of fDi Magazine Supplement "Belarus beckons. Europe's final FDI frontier opens up" telling about the investment potential of the country took place in London several days ago. The event was organized by the Embassy of Belarus in Great Britain jointly with the Financial Times and the National Investment and Privatization Agency.

“The presentation gathered nearly 100 participants including representatives of world’s top banks (Barclays Capital, City Bank), financial and investment companies, rating agencies (JP Morgan, Fitch), international organizations (EBRD, NDEP), British business circles,” the Foreign Ministry added. The attendees got familiar with Belarus’ potential in high technologies, energy and pharmacy.

According to the press service of the ministry, the event showed a high interest to Belarus among foreign companies and allowed foreign partners and potential investors to establish a direct contact with the National Investment and Privatization Agency.
